AMEGA MISSAO TRIPS
TRIP 1
It was all like an odyssey; it was December of 2000 and I was in the city of Chuliman, in the providence of SudYungas, in the state of La Paz, Bolivia. I had a vision where I saw myself walking into a church that I didn’t recognize, and it was there that for the first time, I heard the name Gambia. While I was in that church, the church members said “Welcome to Gambia.” After this vision, one of my biggest dreams was to go to Gambia. After 14 years of many adversities, we finally got to go on December 09 of 2013; that was the day one of my biggest dreams came true. In those couple of days, I wrote things that are being established today. It’s time for more people to get involved with this mission.
TRIP 2
On my second trip, we had the Mandinka Bible Project starting up. We were able to buy 5,000 bibles to distribute. When I went back to Gambia, I had the amazing opportunity with many of my brothers in Christ to distribute the bibles to a bunch of different villages. These bibles are so important to many people due to 1: being in their native language and 2: people grow individually and spiritually because of them.
TRIP 3
The third mission trip was the first trip where I had a group go with me to do God’s mission. In this trip we had brother Emerson, brother Thom, sister Queren and myself. In this amazing trip we had some main specific goals we needed to focus on. While being there we were able to visit many churches and worship with our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. In such a small amount of time that we where there we were able to distribute 200 bibles, have an inauguration of electricity at a school so they can now have night classes, and we put the foundation down to the AMEGA School which is being built in a village with no schools. Another thing we were able to do is attend a graduation of four students who graduated in computer technology education. The computer used by these students were computers sent by us to them about 1 year ago.
